Our new Reaching Out project
We recognise that some Stroke survivors may encounter problems liaising with people like the local Council or other services. Our team of friendly volunteers are here to help sign-post our members in the right direction and try and find them the right people who can help. We can't work miracles but we will certainly try our best!
Friendship Line

We know that not everyone can make our regular meetings in person due to mobility issues, illness or work commitments. Starting from mid-March 2025, the Club will offer a free telephone support service connecting our friendly volunteers with Stroke survivors and their families. Look out for more information. If the correct technology is available, MS Teams or Zoom calls may also be available.
Friendship cafes

As part of a new project to engage with more Stroke survivors, we are seeking a care, nursing home or sheltered housing complex as part of a pilot to offer a friendship cafe to Stroke survivors and others. We will need the home to offer us some space, tea and coffee and a group of Stroke survivors and others who would like to participate. Please email roundhaystroke@gmail.com if you would like to get involved.
Working with the NHS and care providers, academics and students

Our Club has Stroke survivors with a wide range of issues after their Stroke and many family members and carers for Stroke survivors. Find out how we try to help those carrying out research projects or students carrying out research as part of their studies.
